EROS

A creation by and performed by Noa Shilo and Einat Gantz

&…Every granule of stone, flicker of mineral from the mountain, washed this night, is in itself
a world. The struggle to reach peaks is enough to fill the hearts of men. We should picture to
ourselves, Sisyphus happy.
(The Myth of Sisyphus, Elbar Kami)

& Bring water, bring wine, waiter,
Bring me bouquets of flowers, Bring –
I feel like boxing with Eros.;
(Anacreon)

Sundays 18:00-21:30 | Studio Tana, Ein Shemer

A Movement Exploration, Body/Consciousness Work in Space and Time.

Through somatic experiential deepening,
and techniques from the worlds of contemporary dance and improvisation,
we will place and manifest the body in space,
in relation to itself, in relation to its surroundings,
and before kind eyes.

Biography

Dancer, Performer, and Independent Creator, Dance Teacher.

I studied in Israel, Amsterdam, and Africa, with a variety of teachers, approaches, and styles that have helped me maintain continuous growth. I am like a gatherer/hunter, wanting to taste everything that is 'edible.' In the end, everything weaves together into a single fabric, which is the essence of my work. I live it, I know it, and I can continue to add new threads, textures, and shades through an endless learning process.

In this way, I love collaborating with diverse creators, with artists from different fields, and my teaching is also infused with various influences and many 'spices.'

Keeping Things Whole

In a field
I am the absence
of field.
This is
always the case.
Wherever I am
I am what is missing.

When I walk
I part the air
and always
the air moves in
to fill the spaces
where my body’s been.

We all have reasons
for moving.
I move
to keep things whole.
